Google AI Studio permission denied, then redirected to available regions

My personal Google account can access Gemini web again, but Google AI Studio still does not work.

Symptoms:

  • AI Studio briefly loads

  • then shows permission denied / failed to list models

  • then redirects to the available regions page

What I already checked:

  • personal account, not Workspace

  • age verified

  • no VPN

  • same device and network can access Gemini with another Google account

  • conflicting Google Payments region profiles were cleaned up

  • Gemini web now works again

  • AI Studio still does not refresh for this account

This looks like an account-level AI Studio entitlement / eligibility issue that did not refresh after the region signal was corrected.

Hi @ivan_lee ,could you onfirm which location you are trying to access AI Studio from? Also, are you seeing any specific errors in your browser’s developer console when you try to access it?
