Hello Google AI Studio team,
I’m experiencing what appears to be an account-level permission issue with Google AI Studio.
My account has already completed age verification, and I am the Owner of my existing Default Gemini Project. The project is also currently on Tier 1 with billing linked.
However, AI Studio consistently returns permission errors across multiple features:
- In Playground / New Prompt:
“Failed to list models: permission denied. Please try again.” - In the Usage dashboard:
Usage statistics and token data fail to load, with a Permission Denied error. - In the Projects page:
AI Studio displays:
“Permission denied. Please contact your project administrator for assistance.” - When attempting to create a completely new project:
“Failed to create project: permission denied. Please try again.” - I previously had an AI Studio access/eligibility issue and was redirected to the Available Regions page. I have since completed Google account age verification, and I can now enter AI Studio, but the permission errors described above remain.
I have also checked Google Cloud IAM. My Google account is listed as Owner of the Default Gemini Project, so this does not appear to be a standard project-level IAM issue.
Could you please check whether my Google account has an incorrect AI Studio/Gemini API entitlement, provisioning status, eligibility restriction, or other account-level flag?
I can provide my Google Cloud Project ID, Project Number, screenshots, billing information, and other diagnostic information privately if needed.
Thank you for your help.
