Google AI Pro via Jio not recognized by Antigravity IDE — 403 VALIDATION_REQUIRED despite successful verification

Hi,

I’m having an eligibility issue with Antigravity IDE 2.5.5 on macOS.

My Google account has an active Google AI Pro subscription offered through Jio.

The problem is specifically with the Antigravity IDE. The same account works in the standalone Antigravity app, where Settings → Account correctly shows:

Your Plan: Google AI Pro

I also completed the verification flow from the IDE’s validation_url. The Google page reported:

Authentication successful

and indicated that my account was authorized for Gemini Code Assist, Cloud Code with Gemini Code Assist, Gemini CLI, and Antigravity.

However, after signing in again to the IDE, I still get:

Your account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals at this time.

The IDE logs show that authentication itself succeeds:



Auth succeeded, refreshing features and managers

but immediately afterward the Cloud Code backend returns:



retrieveUserQuotaSummary
HTTP 403
PERMISSION_DENIED
reason: VALIDATION_REQUIRED
message: "Verify your account to continue."

The relevant trace ID is:

The logs also repeatedly show:



SetProjectID called with projectID: ""
SetLocation called with location: ""
SetUserTier called with userTier: "", tierDisplayName: ""

So it appears authentication succeeds, but the Cloud Code eligibility/quota state is not being provisioned or recognized for this account.

Environment

  • Antigravity IDE: 2.5.5
  • VSCode OSS: 1.107.0
  • macOS: Darwin arm64
  • Plan: Google AI Pro — Offered through Jio
  • Standalone Antigravity: correctly recognizes the Google AI Pro plan
  • Antigravity IDE: reports account as not eligible

I have already tried signing out/in, completing the verification flow, and signing in again after verification.

Could you please check whether there is an issue with the Cloud Code / Gemini Code Assist eligibility or entitlement provisioning for this Google AI Pro (Jio) account?

Thank you for providing the detailed logs and context. Since you mentioned that the standalone Antigravity app correctly recognizes your Google AI Pro plan, your account entitlement is definitely active, but the IDE may be relying on a stale local quota state.

Could you please try the following sequence to force a credential refresh?

  • Log in using either the latest Antigravity standalone app or the Antigravity CLI to ensure your session is freshly authenticated.
  • Once that login is successful, return to the Antigravity IDE
  • Select Sign in again with the exact same account
