Getting error "Status Invalid_argument on Android studio gemini agent.

Tried restarting the ide and the gemini plugin and its still not working.b

I didn’t have this error on 19th June 2026, but I have it today on 22nd June 2026. I have updated Android Studio to 2026.1.1 Patch 2 and the error persists.

Error: Status INVALID_ARGUMENT
Invalid StreamExperience Request. Violations: contents[110].parts[0].text, contents[112].parts[0].text, contents[114].parts[0].text, contents[119].parts[0].text, contents[145].parts[0].text, contents[168].parts[0].text, contents[177].parts[0].text, contents[256].parts[0].text, contents[278].parts[0].text, contents[282].parts[0].text, contents[30].parts[0].text, contents[334].parts[0].text, contents[434].parts[0].text, contents[43].parts[0].text, contents[448].parts[0].text, contents[61].parts[0].text, contents[65].parts[0].text, contents[67].parts[0].text: Text part must not be empty.

Agent Chat is now unusable in Android Studio. I do not have an Agent subscription? Does this mean we can only use Agent Chat now with a paid subscription?

Hello i solved mine by updating the version, now it works

Same here. After my last post another update arrived. I installed 2026.1.3 Patch 1 and the agent chat is now working :slight_smile: POST: …as long as you don’t ask it to do any query changes, in which case you may get a “Model query failed: INVALID_ARGUMENT: Invalid StreamExperience Request. Violations: contents(71).parts: content message must contain at least one part” response (like me). :confused:
