Hello,
I get this error in Android Studio when using the AI agent:
Model query failed: PERMISSION_DENIED: Verify your account to continue.
Details:
- Android Studio: Tools > AI (signed in with my personal Gmail account)
- Plan shown in Android Studio: Limited (free)
- The error appears on agent requests (e.g. when it reads my project files). A simple “hello” message worked earlier with gemini-3.5-flash-lite.
- It still fails after I switched to Google AI Studio as the model provider with my API key.
What I have already tried:
- Signed out and back in to Android Studio
- Checked my Google account security page (nothing missing)
- Checked Google Cloud console (no warning banner on my project)
- Checked AI Studio: my projects show Free tier and are not marked Restricted
Projects:
- seku-smart-attendance (project number 414207183..)
- gen-lang-client-08525670..(Default Gemini Project)
Could someone check whether my account or these projects have a verification restriction, and tell me what I need to do to clear it?
