Gemini Disabled on Antigravity IDE, How to Restore Access?

Open new account and use API paid as you go method.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share the highly entertaining and strictly “logical” timeline of my interactions with Google One Support regarding the recent 403 Forbidden errors on the Antigravity IDE and CLI. If you are currently locked out, this might give you an idea of what to expect.

Here is the sequence of events so far:

The Ban: I was suddenly hit with a 403 Access Denied error via CLI/PyCharm. I submitted an appeal and emailed the provided address, politely explaining my standard development usage.

The Revelation: Support replied after a bit of back and forth. A “Higher Specialist” investigated and confirmed that the service account associated with my profile “on the backend was corrupted or deleted.” A clear server-side issue.

The “Solution”: Armed with the knowledge of a catastrophic backend deletion, Support’s official recommendation was, "Please clear your browser cache, try a different browser, and ensure no VPN is used.” Ah yes, the classic local browser cache fix for a deleted cloud database entry.

The Reality Check: I politely replied that clearing my local frontend cache would not magically resurrect a deleted service account on their backend servers and asked them to escalate the issue to engineering.

The Grand Finale: Support responded again. They now require a screen recording of the CLI error, which makes sense, and an age verification certificate (ID). Because naturally, proving that I am over 18 is the missing architectural link needed to restore a corrupted API service account.

So, if your CLI access is broken, just make sure your browser cache is empty and you look old enough to code.

Jokes aside, I have provided the evidence just to keep the process moving. Has anyone else experienced this exact loop of unrelated troubleshooting steps? I will keep you updated if the engineering team finally steps in.

Is it safe to create another account? Anyone tried it?

Same here, 6 days passed and still no reply from Google.

My pro account expires in March, by the look of things, I might be re-considering if I will renew.

I subscribed to Pro on an annual basis. I sent them an email 10 days ago, but I haven’t received a response yet.

Hi everyone,

I’m a Google AI Pro subscriber and my account’s access to Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist has been restricted without any prior warning or notification.

What happened: I was using OpenClaw, a third-party AI client that authenticates via Google OAuth, to access Gemini CLI. I was not aware that this would be considered a violation of the Terms of Service. I only used it for personal development purposes with no intention of abusing or exploiting the service.

My situation:

  • I am a paying Google AI Pro subscriber

  • I did not use any automated tools to make excessive API calls

  • I have since stopped using OpenClaw entirely

  • My Google account itself is not banned — I can still access other Google services and the Gemini web interface

  • Only Gemini CLI / Code Assist access appears to be blocked

What I’m asking: I would like to appeal this restriction and have my access restored. I fully commit to using only officially authorized tools going forward.

Has anyone else in this community experienced this and successfully had their access restored? Any guidance on the appeal process would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

A light at the end of the tunnel? Quite a few news stories about the whole situation on X today. This could push the whole thing forward.

Today my ban was lifted, so most of you probably have yours lifted too. Good luck with your projects.

Hey everyone, just a quick update on my situation:

Today, my ban was finally lifted too! I can access the CLI and the API without any issues. The funny part? I never received a single reply or explanation from support. After waiting for exactly 6 days since they told me an “engineer/higher specialist” was looking into it, I simply tested my IDE today and the 403 error was magically gone. My account is fully unbanned.

It seems they are quietly rolling back these false-positive bans on the backend without actually notifying the users. So, if you were stuck in the same absurd support loop, go check your access now, most likely, your bans have been lifted today as well.

Good luck with your projects, everyone!

Good news, my Google account has been restored

Though I received no particular communication, my account has been restored. I wish everyone good fortune.

Also my account has been restored!

restored here!! thank god

Restored here too. Good, i was ready to cancel my subscription, now I won’t. I hope Google becomes more transparent with their customers by adding warnings, timeouts etc. They can act in good faith. I will also be extra careful with their services since they are so picky.

Mine also restored! YaY

I won’t use OpenCode or OpenClaw with Gemini OAuth unless Google allows it explicitly…
