Gemini API Access Restricted - Using OpenClaw Agent - Request for assistance

I have been a Google Cloud user for maybe 10 years and recently had my Gemini API access suspended without clear explanation.

I use OpenClaw (open source AI assistant) to interact with Gemini via the API and I tried oauth as well for legitimate coding assistance and research. I believe my access was flagged due to automated API calls from the agent or some form of TOS violation that I wasn’t aware of but accept responsibility for it.

I have already emailed gemini-code-assist-user-feedback@google.com but have not received a response in 2 weeks give or take.

Questions:

1. What specifically triggered this ban?

2. Is there a way to appeal this decision?

3. Is there a process to whitelist legitimate automated agents?

  1. is using the API alone and not oauth authorized?

I would appreciate any guidance from Google staff or others who have resolved similar issues.

Thanks!
