Gemini Ai studio broken

Hi Google AI Team,

I’ve been a regular user of Gemini AI Studio (aistudio.google.com) and I’m running into a frustrating issue that many others are also reporting.

This morning there were clear UI bugs (buttons unresponsive, sidebar disappearing, heavy lag). Now, even on a paid Pay-as-you-go plan with almost zero usage (literally just opening a new chat), I immediately get “Quota Exceeded” or “Resource has been exhausted” errors. The quota dashboard still shows plenty of remaining tokens, so it looks like the system is incorrectly routing paid accounts to free-tier limits.

This started after the recent updates and the big free-tier quota cut in December 2025. It’s making the studio almost unusable for paid users.

Could the team please:

  • Fix the backend routing bug between paid and free tiers

  • Make the quota/rate limits a bit more lenient for paying customers

  • Improve overall stability so these sudden bugs don’t keep happening

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log in with active paid billing

  2. Create a brand new chat/project

  3. Type anything simple → Instant quota error

Happy to provide screenshots, API key details (privately), or anything else that helps. A quick fix would be really appreciated — a lot of us rely on this tool daily.
