As a Pro Plan user, it’s crazy they just deleted all access to pro models within AI Studio and have put out no statement at all.
Yup and according to the status page, we’re all good. I’m stuck with only access to Flash models. I’ve built a junior level dev assistant w/ a little browser based IDE on 3.1 Pro Preview. Been using it for months and it’s critical to my workflow. On Flash, it just makes slop and does not respect my strict architectural guidelines. So frustrating.
Me too, it’s fucking ridiculous. The 3.8 Flash they’re bragging about isn’t even remotely comparable to 3.1 Pro, especially for coding. We’re paying users, so why the hell did they remove 3.1 Pro? That has to be one of the most nonsensical, brain-dead moves ever.
And 3.8 Flash? You use it like 10 times and you’re already out of usage. What is that supposed to be? Then it starts breaking your code, and every other attempt ends with “execution terminated due to error.” Like, are you fucking serious?
Then you’re basically out of choices and forced to use 3.7 Flash, which is even worse, then 3.6 and the lower models. At that point you’re just wasting your time because they keep breaking your code too. You remove the model that actually worked, replace it with an inferior one with ridiculous limits, and then force paying users down to progressively worse models.
Honestly, this is one of the stupidest and most frustrating decisions ever. It’s a complete joke.
Gemini Pro has intentionally been removed from build mode for everyone, If you are a Google Pro subscriber, you are out of luck.
