I built an app using Google AI Studio, and I’ve been using it for over two months without any issues.
However, today, I suddenly noticed that Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.1 Pro are no longer working in my app after I updated the backend from running in the browser to running on the server.
For context, I’m currently using the free tier.
Since this change, the only model that seems to work in my app is Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite. The other two models are no longer usable.
My question is: Are Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.1 Pro no longer available for use in apps built with Google AI Studio, especially for users on the free tier? Or could this issue be related to the backend migration or changes in API access, quotas, or model availability?
I’d appreciate any clarification or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue.
