I was having the same problem for a long time. For me, disabling IPv6 solved the problem.

I am not sure about this. I got this problem today and had access to the AI studio last week. Nothing changed on my system meanwhile. I tested this in different browsers and the problem seems to be like an user account problem. Maybe it has something to do with the age check, what somebody here mentioned before. But I don’t want to use my ID, face or credit card to verify myself on a work account.

It would be nice if you could provide information, that there has been something changed in the conditions for usage (e.g. 18+ check).

Hi!, just wanted to say this problem is happening again, from Italy now, apart for the usual message failed to list models (which actually there are no models available) permission denied, I also got this issue Failed to list bundled Applications: permission denied. Please try again.

I’ve been looking into this for a while and noticed a few things that actually work. If you’re stuck in that annoying redirect loop, don’t panic. Try these:

  • Switch off IPv6: Seriously, this is the main culprit for the redirect. Just use IPv4.

Force-enable the API: Go to your Google Cloud Console and manually make sure the ‘Generative Language API’ is turned on for your project. Sometimes it doesn’t trigger automatically.

  • Incognito is your friend: Clear your cookies or just try a private window. A lot of times, it’s just a session conflict between multiple Google accounts.
