CRITICAL: "Something Went Wrong" Error When Pushing Updates to GitHub - Blocking Existing Project Work!

Hello Google Studio AI Community,

I have encountered a critical, workflow-blocking issue while working on an active and long-running project in Google Studio AI.

Issue Description: The project has been operational for over six months. I made a single, small update, but upon trying to push (commit and deploy) this new change to GitHub, I consistently receive a generic error: “Something went wrong”.

  • Error Message: “Something went wrong”

  • Context: Occurs specifically during the attempt to Push/Deploy the changes to the connected GitHub repository.

  • Impact: This bug completely prevents me from updating the existing project and deploying any further changes.

  • Missing Information: The error is completely uninformative, providing no details or explanation.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with a stable/long-term project?

We urgently request assistance and an update from Google regarding a fix for this critical blocker bug.

Thank you.

Hi @Dis-cord ,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing detailed information of issue.
This appears to be a GitHub sync/deploy failure with AI Studio . Could you please try revoking the access from Github and reconnect from AI Studio.

Hi,
Already tried it before writing this. Sorry, forogt to mantion it.
It didn’t work. I even reinstalled it.
(which is weird since it still find the changes to sync, but when try to syncing, it gives this error)

I have just started to encounter this issue tonight and i can’t continue my project without knowing im getting it uploaded to github - any fix?

Yes. Same issue for me. If I start a new project, can setup the GitHub project fine. Even commit initial project files. But for much larger projects, at later stages, it will fail (unable to commit changes).

Yes I have and I must say it really disappointing, but I hope Google fix it soon.

That didn’t work either it still showed that it was still connected whereas I have disconnected it from my GitHub apps

Same issue here. Heppens only for one of my projects though. I tried duplicating project and recreating another repo, but did not work.
EDIT : FOUND SOLUTION : I had two not so small ( 3 and 6 MB ) sound .mp3 files in the project . Once deleted from the project, it syncs to the repo again…

Has anyone found a solution? I’m having the same problem.

Seems like this forum is useless and no one from Google’s team cares about the bugs and issues we are reporting in here.

I’m amazed to confirm that this bug still exists in the system:

I am having the same error and this is interuppting my entire development schedule. I have tried every solution here and nothing has worked. It is ridiculous that this critical feature is still dysfunctional, Google needs to fix this as soon as possible!

I have also same problem! Freaking amazing that this is not fixed yet!

Solução encontrada… Eu estava com o mesmo erro e percebi que alguns arquivos apresentavam a mensagem de que não foi possível fazer o download. Depois de excluir e restaurar esses arquivos, consegui fazer o push para o Git e criar o repositório.

I have the same issue.

I have revoked Google Ai Studio permissions.
I completely removed the App access.
I have deleted the repo and created a new repo

Same error

WHO can fix this critical issue?
