My long-standing conversation on Google AI Studio (Gemini 1.5 Pro) was completely overwritten by a new chat session. This is a critical data loss bug. The issue also corrupted the browser’s history, as the original conversation title was replaced with a generic one (“Chat Google AI Studio”) for all past entries related to that URL, making it impossible to identify from history.
I was on Chat A, and when I switched to Chat B to work on a new prompt the new prompt interaction incorrectly overwrote the entirety of Chat A instead of being saved to Chat B or a new chat.
After the overwrite, all entries for the original Chat A’s URL in my Google Chrome history now display the generic title “Chat Google AI Studio”, completely erasing the original title from the history metadata. Chat A’s history is not saved on Google Drive nor on My Activity, other chats are saved

This chat had months of tracking critical medical history to find patters and solutions to complex medical problems. I urgently want to restore the conversation that existed prior to the overwrite on August 15. The original conversation was created on or around June 30.
Another very strange thing is that I had the shortcut to IA Studio on my Chrome favourites bar, as I use it on my Mac, and it disappeared.
