Cannot delete orphaned Google-managed project after deleting AI Studio app

Hello,

Google AI Studio automatically created the managed Cloud project silicon-tendril-56rpq for one of my apps. I confirmed the association through the app’s firebase-applet-config.json.

I have now deleted the app from AI Studio, but the underlying Cloud project is still listed in Google Cloud Console.

My personal Google account has the Managed Projects Deleter role. However, attempting to shut down the project fails because I lack permission to delete it.

I submitted feedback through the console and received only an automated acknowledgement.

Could you please explain the supported procedure for permanently deleting this managed project and its resources, or escalate this request to the team responsible for its lifecycle?

Deleting the app and deleting its associated Cloud project seem to be handled separately. Since you already have the Managed Projects Deleter role, the issue may be that managed projects require a specific deletion process or additional permissions from Google. I’d recommend checking with Google Cloud support or the AI Studio team to confirm the supported procedure, especially if the project can’t be deleted directly from the console.
