[BUG] Google AI Pro — 5-day Gemini lockout since Gemini 3.1 update, very low usage, Pro 5-hour refresh not honored

Date issue started: ~February 19–20, 2026 (coincides with Gemini 3.1 availability in Antigravity)


What’s happening:

I’m on Google AI Pro and have been locked out of Gemini Pro models in Antigravity with a reset timer showing approximately 5 days. This started around the time Gemini 3.1 became available in the IDE.

My actual usage has been minimal. The attached quota graph (Feb 14–20) shows short, bursty sessions with long idle periods… this is not heavy or sustained consumption anywhere near what I’d expect to trigger a weekly hard cap.

Expected behavior: Pro users should receive the 5-hour rolling quota refresh, not a multi-day lockout.

Actual behavior: Backend is applying a full weekly lockout (~5 days) despite low usage and an active Pro subscription, effectively treating my account like a free-tier user.

What I’ve already checked:

  • Billing is active and current

  • No Gemini Code Assist / Gemini CLI OAuth connections on my account (only Firebase CLI, which is unrelated)

  • Switching to a new project in Antigravity does not help

  • This appears to have started specifically after the Gemini 3.1 rollout

Can a Google staff member check whether my Pro account is correctly classified for Gemini quota routing in Antigravity? This appears to be the same mis-classification bug affecting multiple Pro users since the Gemini 3.1 updates.

Similar here. The new Antigravity version also doesn’t allow you to use Gemini 3 any more so you’re forced to use 3.1 which has quite lower quota and weekly lockout comes quite fast.

I have exactly the same issue! I’ve sent emails to support, and spoken to someone on phone but they couldnt fix it.

It feels like our issue is being completely ignored as no comms updates to logged support tickets.

This is seriously hampering antigravity’s usefulness and value of a Pro account.

Worked so much better before they turned on Gemini 3.1.

I’m experiencing the same problem. It’s my 2nd day on Pro and now I have 5 day lockout for claude and gemini models! This is an outright scam!

i found the solution , just downgrade to previous version.

I’m also experiencing these issues, and the usage window for the Pro subscription is really small compared to Claude or GPT.
I was forced to switch to Claude to continue development, and I think it works better than Gemini 3.1 at this point.

I have the same problem, I was asked to wait until Mar 11th which is 4 days from now. Why do I have to wait when I have a Pro subscription?

I have the same problem. I use it 3 days ago, and the limits go crazy. Depending on where you look, it says I have to wait a different amount of time, or it works for 5 minutes and then the limit drops again. We’ve paid for a service that isn’t being provided. It’s not the first time this has happened to me. It seems like a bug, but in the end, all that happens is that you can’t use a service you paid for.

Same here, but I think a bit more extreme for me. I’ve been working for some time with antigravity with no issues using Gemini 3, but since 3.1 I got the quota limit error pretty fast. I didn’t complaint much tho, It went the full 5 days and today was the day when the quota refresh. My surprise: I checked out and now I got the model quota reached until March 18th, and I haven’t used it once since the previous lock… This seems like a bug honestly

@chunduriv In a different thread, you explicitly said that this is not a bug, but a new quota model for Pro users. Here you are indicating that it is a big that will be looked into.

Same here. I just came back from a one-week vacation and used it for one day and then was locked out for 5 days.

My clawed and GPT limits show that the reset is 7 Days even though I haven’t used them yet this week.

Gemini flash still shows the 5-Hour reset.

I’m not sure a 5-day or 7-Day reset period is workable for me. I’ll have to do some shuffling and figure out how to ration things better. :face_with_diagonal_mouth::roll_eyes:

The unbelievable thing is that we are all still sitting here trying to figure out if this is actually a new set of limitations, or if it’s just a bug.

I have the exact same behavior as you; with Gemini flash still showing a 5-hour window. That specific part makes me think that this isn’t due limitation and not a bug.

I am also confirming this critical bug. As a Google AI Pro subscriber, I’m seeing my quota refresh times jump from the expected 5 hours to over 6 days for the Gemini 3 Pro model.

I’ve attached a screenshot from my Antigravity Quota Monitor that perfectly captures the moment this triggered.

  • At 12:00 AM, the reset time was correctly set to 5h 0m.

  • By 12:34 PM, despite being at 100% capacity, the reset timer suddenly spiked to 6 days and 7 hours.

This confirms that the system is ignoring the Pro 5-hour rolling window and is instead applying a massive weekly lockout. This makes the Pro subscription practically unusable for any serious work in Antigravity. I hope the engineering team can look into this misconfiguration for Gemini 3 Pro users.

I have the same issue my quota has reached its limit on 9th march 2026, it said it will refresh on 13th march, but it should be only 5hrs rolling window based, and when I checked my Antigravity it is now saying 19th march to be refreshed. I had not used the models even since then how the limit has extended?

This is definitely a bug and we want a refund on my current plan or extended usage on next plan.

I’m facing same issue. Now I have stopped using gemini models as they are not providing proper token limit usage as much as we paying as per that.
