Antigravity should leave the VS Code appearance for DEV use

This company is pushing software engineers further away. With the new updates, they removed the only feature that made AI-driven software development 100% controllable. Now, there is a significant loss of control over token consumption with a CLI that is very poor at activating multiple sets of instructions (Skills) simultaneously. The new Antigravity look is super cool for “no-coders” (vibes), but it is a fiasco for engineers who rely on AI to increase their productivity. Even Gemini still hasn’t added a simple search engine for its Gems, and it is no longer possible to pin them for quick access via the left panel. You’re heading in the wrong direction, Google, by trying to look like OpenAI with this pseudo-fork of Codex. You are great, Google; don’t let us down. Finally, the token consumption with the previous version of Flash was great. Now, it consumes tokens mercilessly, and the maximum limits for the average user run out faster than they do with Anthropic.

If you have issues loading the Antigravity 2.0, follow this:

If you are vibe coder, good luck with the 2.0. It’s nice but less control of what the models do within your projects.
