Review about latest release version - 2

My genuine review about version 2 is very bad i didn’t liked it completely

I liked the previous format only i mean the the previous versions interface please get back to that previous interface

And one question can we use previous versions independently because I tried to reinstall and use previous versions but it’s saying that v1 was disabled

VS code like prev version so so so much better… I had to rollback and stop the updates.

Go to Google Antigravity and install version 1.23.2

I did the same thing buddy but it was giving an error that v1 was disabled and it was automatically loading the version 2

First, you must uninstall everything related to Antigravity. Then, go to Google Antigravity and download version 1.23.2.

I honestly don’t understand what happened with Antigravity V2. The previous version actually felt like a productivity tool for developers, but this new update feels like a complete downgrade.

Removing the terminal was a terrible decision. A lot of us rely on having direct terminal access while working with AI agents, especially for Laravel, Node, Next.js, Docker, migrations, Git commands, debugging, and running local servers. Now everything feels disconnected and slower.

The file tree experience is also much worse now. Before, navigating the project felt natural and developer-focused. In V2, the giant AI agent sitting in the center of the screen takes over the entire workspace and makes the IDE feel cluttered instead of productive. It feels more like chatting with an AI than actually coding with one.

Another issue is reliability. The agent now makes unnecessary edits, loses context more often, touches unrelated files, and sometimes feels over-automated in the worst possible way. The old version felt more controlled and predictable.

A lot of developers chose Antigravity because it felt lightweight, efficient, and coding-first. V2 feels like it was redesigned by people focusing more on “AI experience” instead of real developer workflow.

Please bring back:

  • Proper terminal integration

  • Better file tree visibility

  • A cleaner IDE layout

  • Less intrusive AI UI

  • More controlled edits

  • Better context retention

Right now, tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Roo Code, and even Cline honestly feel more practical for real-world development work.

I really want Antigravity to improve because the older version had serious potential, but this update made the experience frustrating instead of productive.
