I’m facing a major UI/workbench issue in Antigravity 2.x on Windows.
Problem:
-
Explorer panel not visible
-
Code editor not opening
-
Terminal missing
-
View menu only shows Zoom and Developer Tools
-
Projects and chat load correctly
-
Backend services connect successfully
-
Reinstalled multiple times
-
Cleared AppData caches
-
Re-logged in
-
Completed onboarding again
Environment:
Expected:
Antigravity should open the normal workbench/editor similar to VS Code.
Actual:
Only AI conversation/project screens appear, while the actual coding workspace never initializes.
Additional Info:
-
Developer console logs show services connecting successfully
-
Workbench menus remain incomplete
-
CLI works, but desktop UI is broken
it is again automatically updates to newest version. How we can slove this.
I think the google has now two different products google Antigravity (which is agent first), it is for non coders and Antigravity IDE (Google Antigravity), this is for developers. I think from here you can access your code file and previous interface.
Antigravity 2.x on Windows is the worst update why google deside to hide all the options I’m unable to use.
I had the exact same issue. I had to completely uninstall Antigravity (both Antigravity and Antigravity IDE) and then redownload Antigravity IDE from the website. You can get it here: Google Antigravity
If you also want the Agent Manager, you need to download Antigravity 2.0 as well. It looks like they split it up. You can download Antigravity 2.0 here: Google Antigravity
I also had to install them in this specific order. If I install Antigravity 2.0 before the IDE, the code editor won’t even open. It only worked after the Antigravity IDE was fully installed and set up again; only then could I reinstall Antigravity 2.0 and get it to work.
They’ve drastically reduced their versatility; it’s a step backwards. I hope they resolve it.
