AI Studio: Failed to list imported projects / Failed to create project – permission denied

Hello,

I am having a permission issue in Google AI Studio.

When I try to import or view my projects, I get:

“Failed to list imported projects: permission denied. Please try again.”

When I try to create a new project, I get:

“Failed to create project: permission denied. Please try again.”

I have already created a Google Cloud project manually and I am the Owner of that project. The Service Usage API is enabled.

My Google Account information is correct, including my date of birth.

Could you please check whether there is an account-level or AI Studio access restriction causing this problem?

We have recently rolled out a mandatory age verification initiative across signed-in customers globally, Accounts that have not completed explicit date-of-birth/identity verification should do so by navigating to Google Account Age Verification or verifying date of birth in Google Account Personal Info."

Also, disconnect any VPN, proxy, or iCloud Private Relay and access AI Studio directly.

Make sure you are accessing AI Studio from one of the supported regions
