Subject: Request for manual review – Gemini API 403 PERMISSION_DENIED

Hello Google Cloud and Gemini API Support,

I am requesting a manual review and removal of an unexpected Gemini API access restriction.

Project details:

  • Project name: HumanlyText AI

  • Project ID: humanlytext-ai

  • Project number: 8819126443..

  • Region: Oman

  • Account type: Personal Google account

  • Use case: Personal testing of a bilingual Arabic and English text-analysis and natural-rewriting application

The Gemini API is enabled. The API key is valid, restricted to the Gemini API, and bound to a dedicated service account. Both the current Interactions API and the legacy generateContent endpoint were tested with multiple supported models.

Every request returns:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

This is a new personal testing project with no unusual usage and no known policy violations. Please manually review the project and account and restore Gemini API access.

Getting a 403 API error response indicates a flag has been placed on your account. To proceed:

  1. If you’re on the free tier with no billing attached, you should consider setting up billing. In most cases this is enough to clear any flag on your account. Please note this will mean you lose your free tier quota. You should also see a banner in AI studio prompting you to set up billing.

  2. If you are on a paid tier, check for banners / error callouts in the AI Studio Projects page & the Billing page. Mostly these flags cause visible banners or other errors on these pages with concrete next steps / appeal links. You can also check the email address associated with your project for information on next steps.
