Hi @SvK,
Welcome to the Forum,
The Google AI Pro plan provided through Jio is a promotional offer. Due to licensing constraints, access to third-party models (like Claude and GPT) is now reserved exclusively for direct, non-promotional paid Google AI Premium and Ultra subscriptions.
While third-party model access on promotional plans will end on November 2, 2026, you will retain full access to all current and future Google Gemini models for the entire duration of your Jio plan and our teams are continuously working to improve Gemini’s reasoning and coding capabilities.
If you wish to continue using Claude in Antigravity, you have to transition to a direct, paid subscription via Google One.
Thank you for being part of our developer community. We will make sure your feedback is shared with the product team.
I’m a student plan subscriber (₹489/mo) and I also have the free Jio Google AI Pro plan on a separate account. I’m really disappointed with the decision to lock Claude 5.5 and Opus 5.5 behind “non-trial” subscriptions only.
The student plan is a paid subscription. I pay every month. Yet Google classifies it as a “trial/promotional” plan and excludes it from the newer third-party models. That means I’m paying for AI Pro but getting less than what a full-price subscriber gets — and after November 2, 2026, I’ll have zero access to any Claude models in Antigravity. Only Gemini will remain.
I understand licensing costs are real, but this feels like a bait-and-switch. Many students and Jio users are here because we wanted to experiment with frontier models, and now we’re being told our money isn’t “real” enough.
I’ve already requested a refund for my student subscription because the core value I paid for is being removed. I’m keeping my free Jio plan, but I won’t be upgrading to a full-price plan just to get Claude back.
Google, please reconsider how you classify paid student plans. We’re not asking for free access — we’re paying. Treat us like paying customers.
Will google provide access to Gemini Argon to users who have Google AI Pro plan provided through Jio ??
Unfortunately, we did not retain full access to all current and future models, did we? I have no problem with not being given 4 Argon but why remove 3.1 Pro and severely inhibit 3.8 Flash? Claude was the only option which worked well, and now it’s not there anymore.
Now we have nothing but 3.8 Flash, I’ll bet soon that’ll be removed and we’ll be left with nothing…
