Jio Google AI Pro Users Will Lose Access to Claude 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B After November 2, 2026

Hello Google Antigravity Team,

I am a Google AI Pro subscriber through Jio. My subscription is active, but Antigravity displays a notice stating that third-party model access will no longer be available on my current plan starting November 2, 2026.

Currently, I can access Claude Sonnet 4.6 (Thinking), Claude Opus 4.6 (Thinking), and GPT-OSS 120B (Medium). However, I am concerned that I will lose access to these models even though my Google AI Pro subscription and its benefits remain active.

I understand that Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5 require directly billed Google AI Pro or Ultra subscriptions. However, I would like clarification regarding the removal of the existing third-party models from Jio-provided Google AI Pro subscriptions.

My questions are:

  1. Why will existing Jio Google AI Pro subscribers lose access to these third-party models on November 2, 2026?

  2. Will Google provide alternative third-party models or replacement access for affected subscribers?

  3. Could Google consider an exception or transition period for existing Jio Google AI Pro subscribers?

  4. Is there an affordable way to retain third-party model access in Antigravity without losing the other benefits of my current Google AI Pro subscription?

I use Antigravity for coding, debugging, and AI-assisted software development. Losing access to these models would significantly affect my workflow.

I respectfully request that the Antigravity team consider a solution for existing Jio Google AI Pro subscribers and clarify the policy for affected users.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi @Muhammad_Abdullah6,

Here is a clear breakdown of how the November 2, 2026 update affects your plan and what options are available:

1. Why are Claude 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B being removed on November 2, 2026?

There are two parts to this change (documented on our Models page):

  • Retirement of Legacy Third-Party Models: Claude Sonnet 4.6 (Thinking), Claude Opus 4.6 (Thinking), and GPT-OSS 120B (Medium) are being retired across all Antigravity plans on November 2, 2026.
  • Eligibility for Newer Third-Party Models (Claude 5.5): Due to the high compute and licensing costs of running frontier third-party models inside autonomous coding agents, access to the newer Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5 models is limited to non-trial, directly paid Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscriptions (as well as Enterprise plans). Because the 18-month Jio-bundled Google AI Pro offer is provisioned as a promotional extended-trial membership, it does not include access to third-party partner models after the legacy models retire on November 2, 2026.

2. Will alternative models remain available on the Jio Google AI Pro plan?

While third-party partner models will no longer be included on promotional/trial plans after November 2, 2026, your Jio-bundled Google AI Pro membership continues to include full Google AI Pro tier access for first-party Gemini models:

  • Full access to Gemini 3.8 Flash across Low, Medium, and High thinking levels (as well as Nano Banana 2 for image generation).
  • Google AI Pro quota limits refreshed every 5 hours (compared to the weekly refresh on the Free tier).

3. Is there a transition period or exception for existing Jio subscribers?

The current window through November 2, 2026 serves as the transition grace period—we kept Claude 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B active on promotional and trial plans after launching Claude 5.5 specifically so existing users would have advance notice before the retirement date. While we cannot grant individual account exceptions on promotional partner plans, we have shared your feedback directly with our Product and Partnerships teams.

4. How can you retain third-party model access without losing your current Jio Google AI Pro benefits?

You do not need to cancel or give up your Jio-bundled Google AI Pro membership to keep your 2 TB storage, Google One benefits, and Pro-tier Gemini quotas. If you also need access to Claude Sonnet 5.5 or Claude Opus 5.5 in Antigravity after November 2, you have two options that won’t disturb your primary Jio-linked Google Account:

  • Pay-As-You-Go via Google Cloud (Gemini Enterprise): You can sign into Antigravity using a Google Cloud project configured for Gemini Enterprise / Agent Platform Pay-As-You-Go, which provides access to Claude 5.5 and bills based on usage (see antigravity.google/docs/enterprise).
  • Separate Directly Billed Account: You can keep your Jio Google AI Pro benefits active on your primary Google Account while signing into Antigravity with a secondary Google Account subscribed to a non-trial Google AI Pro plan.
