Whats with this new update? Is it no longer built on Vs code? where is the old editor view? if someone has a workaround please let me know.
They just renamed it to ‘Antigravity IDE’. You need to download it from their site. Btw, be careful though. Because it’s up and the problem we’re having right now is that we can’t open the IDE with that 2.0 thing installed. And even if you uninstalled that 2.0, your old conversations can’t be seen in that new IDE because it looks like it’s using a new storage path.

Same here. Google completely up the IDE with their latest update. It is completely broken, and I can’t even get any work done! Great job, Google.
Uninstall all versions of Antigravity, Google Antigravity <<<download 1.23.2. Be quick and jump into the editor settings, search for auto update, set this to manual! When it pops up trying to install the new 2.0 just cancel it.

But have you experienced the chat problem with 3.5 flash? It answered me then quickly deleted all its messages. I asked and it says because of syncing problems or network problem. I’m thinking maybe because I’m using the older version…
Oh my god, this is a real step backwards… why are all the big IT companies making these kinds of drastic changes… well, back to VS Code then…

Until google blocks calls to their API from Antigravity IDE, that is going to be a sad day, and a transition to a new IDE!

The only thing you needed to fix in Antigravity was the hanging threads that never came back when you launched multiple ai models on their tasks!!!

i am going to try to uninstall 2.0 and go back to 1.22
because making people ask AI for simple stuff instead of letting them do it manually with the IDE will drive them to … buy more quota…

AG 1.x is IDE with agentic feature.
If you need IDE, install the IDE version. Don’t enable auto update or update the software.
the IDE was the big reason for using antigravity, now it is a ‘me too’ product which makes switching easier…
