It’s happening with two different browsers for me. No save feature. I’ve always had it since the beginning. Now it’s just gone.
If you haven’t noticed yet… they shoved the Save button under the three-dot menu. Yeah, a definite step backwards. No idea why, but apparently it’s because they enabled forced auto-save, which is terrible for me.
I haven’t noticed yet because it’s not in my drop down for the three dots. If I did notice, I wouldn’t be leaving a comment on this forum.
Hi @Derek_R,
By default all chats will be saved to GDrive under “Google AI Studio” folder.. The feature was getting phased rollout which is probably why you were unable to see.
If you don’t want to save chat, you can use “Temporary chat” option which doesn’t save any information in GDrive.
what if the user don’t want to use Temporary chat? We need a real solution, not a lazy answer. Beside… what if someone accidentally deleted their output prompt and lost everything because of the auto save feature? user control matter
It’s kind of bad when I can’t prevent it from auto-saving. Then it makes everything save even if I accidentally click something; I can’t refresh to get the old version.
