Was developing an app, however all files disappeared including from saved documents on desktop. What could be the issue?

Thank you so much it would be highly appreciated cos it literally scared me as even the index.html files, we’re deleted from my local drives including Google drive were it was all saving to also. It was a nerve wrecking experience this morning assuming what if possibilities, changing passwords, running malware scans etc, cos in my trash was just the folder of my project name files but the folder was empty. How scary is that? And this has never happened to me before even when I did my websites, designs, books etc. I’m amazed That this unfortunate incident had to happen now, that literally freaked me out from even wanting to pursue anymore. I look forward to hearing back and with some positive updates.

I lost an entire project but its because the “build” tab doesn’t save projects by default, so I accidentally hit F5 and lost it all.

Same for me. Last week, I generated an app with Google AI Studio on a class computer under my Google account. Now, I’ve tried to open the work on another class computer, and there isn’t any remembrance of it, missing in history either.

I don’t think anyone is experiencing the horrific loop I am stuck in going on 3 weeks now, first from deleted files, to wiped chats, to then webhook issues spanning 3 whole days. Almost as if I’m the only person to try gemini Ai for an app build and paygate integrations, to the point of finally fix 1 problem move on to the next but then having to go back 10 steps to fix again what was already working. It’s like you literally are stuck in a toxic loop, like the first person to build an app via gemini Ai and for its own platforms of firebase and cloud, sheeeuwww it’s been a nightmare. Days on ends, hours, but never being able to move forward, it’s like virtually impossible… I have no idea what I’m dealing with anymore and don’t even get me started on the Subtle changes to index.html scripts and then endless syntax errors, not even sure anymore really…
Unfortunately, all my apps “disappeared” as well, right now I can still see the titels and even click on them, but theyre only empty shells. So much work, but nothing seems to be left. Why did this happen and how can I get them back? There must be a back up of some sort? Googles environment is supposed to be very safe…
edit: under Google Chrome, nothing works or is visible, but under Microsoft Edge, everything is there… so happy.

I sure hope investigations was done in regards to my original query done. At first I thought ok let’s not be paranoid or over think this. Especially with the request from dev tools for access to files etc. And then the wipe happens then chats disappears etc then failure to deploy on firebase. I say this because eof what has transpired last night. So this project of mine got changed after the wipe. However and here is the kicker the very code to this dev, showed up lastnight being tested on my webhook paygates. Cos this original code for the webhook is what was the original amount of Zar420 on paystack being tested along with the bogus email accounts created during testing for these web hooks used to run the code and used this very projects code I had done via a model which is no longer available on Google AI studio, and best part is the web hooks all still work proper. So my question now is cos the new project I started is totally different total amounts and project that finally got deployed to firebase is without web hooks or paygates integration, hence I can place it back to the original files I queries on this very forum about being deleted and wiped as well as chat history gone. But the code is still being tested the same code I developed / created using this platform. But is tested so what happened here is whoever tested the code or is making use of it didn’t use my legit Gmail account to test with they instead used the bogus account to test with without realising the way my paygates even though in test mode still sent emails for test payments done that it is working. So pleas perhaps investigate who has direct access to the chat interface of where projects are being created or developed using the platform cos that is the smoking gun right there..
