[Ultra Subscriber] Google Flow Agent Mode batch generation failing with "Something went wrong" for 5+ days — credits deducted, zero output

Subscription: Google AI Ultra

Platform: Google Flow (labs.google/fx/tools/flow)

Issue Duration: 5+ days (started approximately June 27, 2026)

Error Message: “Something went wrong. Try again.”

Description of Issue

I am a Google AI Ultra subscriber using Google Flow’s Agent Mode to batch-generate video assets from storyboards. My workflow involves uploading a storyboard and using the agent to generate 10 assets at a time — this is a core production workflow for me and has been working previously.

For the past 5 days, every attempt to generate video via this workflow returns the generic error: “Something went wrong.” No output is produced, but credits are still being deducted from my balance.

What I have isolated:

The failure appears to be occurring at the backend flowMedia:batchGenerateImages endpoint level — specifically when Agent Mode queues multiple concurrent generation requests from a storyboard input. The error is persistent across all attempts regardless of prompt, model selection, or time of day.

Troubleshooting already completed (none resolved the issue):

  • Cleared browser cache and cookies
    • Tested in Incognito mode
      • Tested on different browsers
        • Tested on different devices/networks
          • Tried different prompts including minimal/simple ones
            • Tried Veo 3.1 Fast, Veo 3.1 Quality, and Veo 3.1 Lite models
              • Waited 24+ hours between attempts on multiple occasions
            • Why I believe this is a backend account entitlement or infrastructure issue:
          • Based on community research, I’ve identified that this class of error has been widely reported since Google’s May 2026 plan restructuring (transition from unlimited Veo Fast to a credits-based system). The specific failure modes include: (1) a “ghost wallet” billing cycle desync where the flowMedia API reads a conflicting legacy entitlement from the previous billing cycle rather than the current Ultra subscription; (2) false rate-limit triggering (“Unusual Activity”) when Agent Mode fires concurrent batch requests, which the backend misidentifies as abuse; and (3) a confirmed 500 Internal Server Error on the flowMedia:batchGenerateImages endpoint for paid Ultra subscribers, documented in multiple community threads.
        • Impact:
        • This has completely halted my production workflow. I generate batches of 10 video assets from storyboards using Agent Mode — this multiplies my output significantly and is critical to my delivery schedule. I have been unable to generate a single video through this workflow for 5 consecutive days.
      • Request:
      1. Please escalate to the backend engineering team to investigate my account’s entitlement state and confirm whether there is a “ghost wallet” from a previous billing cycle conflicting with my current Ultra subscription — and if so, manually purge it and force a sync to the current entitlement.
        1. Please review whether my account has been flagged with a soft rate-limit or “Unusual Activity” block triggered by Agent Mode’s concurrent batch request pattern, and if so, reset it.
          1. Please confirm whether the flowMedia:batchGenerateImages endpoint is experiencing degraded service for Ultra accounts as of this week.
            1. Please refund credits deducted for all failed generation attempts during this 5-day window.
          2. I am happy to provide my account email to a moderator via DM. Thank you for your attention to this.
