Title: Persistent 'Something Went Wrong' Error When Connecting to GitHub (Personal Account

Hello team,

I am experiencing a persistent issue when attempting to link my personal GitHub account to Google AI Studio. The connection consistently fails with a “Something Went Wrong, Please Try Logging In Again” error message (screenshot attached).

I have followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps provided by support, but the error persists.

Steps Taken (and Failed) to Resolve:

  1. Full Uninstall/Revoke:

    • Uninstalled the “Google AI Studio” GitHub App from the Installed GitHub Apps settings

    • Verified it was not listed under Authorized OAuth Apps.

    • Removed any GitHub connections from my Google Account Connected Apps.

  2. Clean Session Reinstallation:

    • Cleared all browser cache and cookies.

    • Opened a fresh Incognito/Private window.

    • Attempted the connection process again via AI Studio.

  3. Permission Selection: Ensured “All Repositories” was selected during the re-authorization step on GitHub.

  4. Network Test: Confirmed that my network connection is fine via the OctoCaptcha test page , which returned “Connection successfully made!”.

Expected Behavior:

The GitHub account should successfully link to AI Studio, allowing me to export projects automatically.

Actual Behavior:

Immediately after authorization on GitHub, I am redirected back to a Google AI Studio error page saying “Something went wrong, please try logging in again.” This happens every time, regardless of the browser used.

Please investigate this issue on the backend for my account. My GitHub username is <Your_GitHub_Username_Here>.

Thank you for your assistance.
