Tier 1 Quota AI Studio

I’m using AI Studio with Veo 3.1 Lite to generate a few short videos for a client. I have numerous API keys set up, billing set up, I’ve spent £40 on credits this month, but it’s STILL kicking me out of AI Studio with the message “Failed to generate video: user has exceeded quota. Please try again later.”

Whenever it does this, I lose my current prompt, videos I’ve previously generated (and paid for!) and it completely fails to work again.

My rate limit is showing RPD 10/10 for Veo Lite. Is this correct? I’m paying for a service that limits me massively, kicks me out, and wipes my work? It’s so ridiculously frustrating and it’s taking up so much time!

  • You’re correct that the rate limit for Veo is 10 per day in Tier 1. Higher tiers are available depending on your usage. Details: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/billing#about-billing
  • Every video you’ve generated should be visible in the “Google AI Studio” directory in your Google Drive.

Are you sure? I create content in Flow, and some of my videos are on my gdrive, whilst others are only in Flow.
