Would be great if i could manually save too, editing a Prompt does not Auto Save!

It would be nice if there was also a setting that would allow people to not have auto save if they dont want it.

The automatic save function is now deactivated.
It’s back to normal today.
I love the plot twists in this thread 
Majority were asking for autosave but then when it finally ships there are a lot of conditions being set

Maybe it’s to accommodate the preferences of a minority. But I believe autosave should be an option in the settings, allowing users to decide whether to enable it or not.
Great, also how we use it is another question, Technology move far away the developing nations.
It briefly worked for me than the auto save feature disappeared, what’s happening?
Not everyone was happy about the introduction of that feature. I think the new consensus among users is, please re-introduce autosave, as user selected option.
Wait you are telling me a feature was implemented and removed in the same day? All that through this forum? How is it that efficient?
This function existed for only one day. 
They’ve rolled back this feature
It is funny because they removed the feature after a day or two, at least what I have noted when using from my chrome on MacOS. I was getting issues where my work was displayed as in process of being saved (saving…), it went for hours without ever saving anything. I lost some good work because I didn’t have a manual save button.
I’m guessing there might still be bugs in this feature.
Any idea when we can have the feature added again? I am tired of always manually saving, i mean it became a muscle memory at this point but having it autosave would be a lot better
Hey folks, we are planning to add this back soon, just need to finish up some polish, it will be a setting enabled by default. I will get a message added to the UI to make this clear when it rolls out.

So I just lost the last 3 hours of my work (basically everything) because it was autosaving previously. Is there any way to get that back?
Okay, for real this time. 
This auto-updating of saved prompts is awful and causes data loss.
Switch to Gemma and confirm: You just irretrievably lost a well crafted system message.
Clear chat: you just cleared the saved prompt with multi-shot training.
Want to use multi-shot? The only way to preserve your setting is to manually remove every chat entry manually after usage.
Had a notion of privacy? Gone when every character you type and generate is being updated every second into someone’s cloud.
Just terrible. The impression of “my prompt library” being presets you might save or your own prompt gallery will lead you down the path of information destruction with every use.
