SIGNATURE CAMPAING - šŸ“£- We don't require a WEEKLY rate limit for 3.5 Flash on the Pro Plan!

Before the 2.0 Update, Google’s major selling point was the usage limits. Now that this is gone and Flash 3.5 is supposed to be as good as Sonnet 4.6, why would I stay a Pro subscriber if I get less out of AG than out of Claude Code for the same quality? I really don’t get how Flash 3.5 is supposed to be much more efficient than Sonnet 4.6 but at the same time has stricter limits for the same amount of money per month.

+1 can’t get any work done with pro tier

YES, IT’S SO BAD ! + 1 PLUS ! It’s no workly service for daily usageю

  • go back gemini 3 flash
  • increase quotas in 3.5 flash

Maybe long before. They have been killing their products since March when they changed how quota system works. Then they were trying to handwave with their PR BS about how it was actually to make the product better for us.

Lie.

Unfortunately it seems like the gravy train of 3.1 Pro release has ended. You simply can’t use Gemini to get anything done without spending thousands of dollars.

The New quota system is truly unfair… you should roll back to the old system

+1 Since today, I see the quota is refreshed, but it is still consumed fast, so I agree that there should be no weekly quota at least.

Yep, this is awful. Flash 3.0 was infinitely better, if this was intentional. 6 days until it refreshes is unacceptable.

3.5 either needs to refresh as often as Flash 3.0 did, or Flash 3.0 needs to be brought back. As-is, this feels like the exact opposite of what I heard watching the I/O. This was supposed to be a cheaper, faster, and smarter workhorse.. Nope. Flash 3.0 was my workhorse, because it refreshed every few hours, which seemed very reasonable.

3.5 quota was used up in a few hours, and now says it won’t refresh for 6 days? Absolutely not a workhorse. It left my project in a broken state, and I can’t wait around for a week until I’m able to fix it. This is awful. I really hope it’s some mistake, and that it will go back to refreshing every few hours. Otherwise, I’ll need a new workhorse, and this has made Antigravity useless for me.

Pro account holder ($20/month), today I was coding a react web app using antigravity and 3.5 flash medium. Using the model in exactly the same way I was previously using github copilot pro ($10/month, utilizing a higher effort model) with proper chat sanitization / restarts / efficient prompts. I blew through my 5 hour limit in 3 hours. On the 5 hour refresh I blew through 3/4 of my weekly usage in another 3 hours. At this pace for $20 a month I am only getting ~8 to 9 hours or one work day of agentic coding a week (I’m not sure yet what this will look like over the full month).

That is unacceptably low. When I was using github copilot pro with a higher reasoning model on a comparable effort project I was easily getting 4 to 5 full work days of coding a week before hitting 3/4 of my weekly limit. I never went over my monthly limit.

Hopefully they see the communities take on these reduced limits and take action otherwise this product is no longer for actual developers.

Well to be fair, there’s one way around that and it’s paying exorbitant amounts of money in order to continue using the models. The real issue is the opaque nature of the ā€˜quota’ system and the fact that the pro plan is essentially a scam at this point… seeing as a free tier plan could probably yield the same usage quotas.

Otherwise known as a ā€œscamā€.

+1 Bring Back Gemini 3 Flash

I was very careful to set up my workspace with only a few small text files and my .py files all combined about 150Kb. About 5 programs I am making with longest one only being 2000 lines.

I restricted permissions for the AI to not have access to any files or data outside of the workspace so it wouldn’t try reading any large files and use up the quota.

I have stayed well above using the 4 hour quotas ever since last night when locked out but apparently it doesn’t matter how careful you are apparently.

If there is not a large file for it to find and use up all your quota points on the AI will MAKE IT’S OWN file to eat your quota by reading endlessly!!!

Is this an example of poor coding on Googles part or is this perhaps by design to try forcing people to pay $200 a month? Inquiring minds want to know!

+1 Strongly agree with this post.

+1 I agree with this.

Please bring Gemini 3 Flash back to us!

+1 Bring back Gemini 3 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Broke my Structure Project

Previously, I was using Gemini 3 Flash, and every output matched the SKILL I created. If an error occurred, it was understandable, I could just manually check and fix it.

But with 3.5 Flash, it’s completely intolerable. The AI doesn’t follow the existing SKILL, it even writes things that contradict it. I tried tuning it, but guess what happened? I hit the weekly quota.

My only complain is increase the quota for the API and Enterprise users and lower the quota to free and subscriber user.

+1 This is UNACEPTABLE

+1. I fully agree. We don’t need a weekly quota for 3.5 Flash on the Pro plan — waiting a full week to resume development just isn’t realistic.

The real issue for me isn’t the 3x limit increase or the weekly reset. It’s that the current 3.5 Flash model burns through quotas far too quickly. For most of my daily coding tasks, I don’t need a top-tier, heavy reasoning model. What I need is a cheap, predictable, and reliable model — one that doesn’t consume my entire token budget within an hour of work.

Gemini 3.0 Flash was perfect for that. It handled my tasks efficiently, let me work for hours, and didn’t make me constantly ration every single request. Losing that workflow has been a major step backwards.

I’m already in my second day of actively exploring alternatives. I understand that Google has tripled the quotas, but that doesn’t solve my core problem. It just means I’ll burn through the increased quota in an evening instead of an hour — and I’d still be locked out for days. I’d rather switch to other tools that offer predictable usage than stay with a platform where I can’t get through a normal development session.

Please either bring back Gemini 3.0 Flash with its old usage patterns, or give 3.5 Flash a separate, generous 5-hour quota pool. Without that, the Pro plan simply isn’t workable for real development.
