Pro now only “gets your feet wet”. The quotas are a bit better than it is for free. But not much. The idea is to load the “pro” tier with access to stuff you wont use to justify the cost and cap you on antigravity. OH! and there is now a weekly limit on all models. You have a 5 hour limit and a weekly cap. blow your weekly cap and you get to look at the pretty IDE all week. Welcome back to stackoverflow.
Yeah… it hit weekly pretty fast. They should of atleast gave 3-4x times with 5-h refresh and then hit with a weekly. Not after a first 5-hour wait you get hit with a weekly

previously they have weekly cap on the anthropic model and gemini pro tier, i don’t have much of a problem about it, but now even with gemini flash, they set up weekly cap? and now they put the flash to the same pool with pro tier? that’s beyond ridiculous!
I completely agree. Weekly quotas are unacceptable. No semi-professional developer will want to pay huge sums of money for plans and will have to wait a week for their quota to be unlocked to develop further. In short, it seems like it’s time to switch to a different AI tool.
(Even if this is a mistake, I can’t just sit back and wait for a fix. I need to keep developing. No one who is passionate about development and puts their mind to it will tolerate this.)
Despite all the backlash, all they’ve done is give us a 3x rate limit. That’s not enough. We don’t want weekly quotas. Give us back our Gemini 3 Flash. We’d rather have 3 Flash with slower responses and 5-hour quotas. We don’t want weekly quotas!
Users on Google AI Pro receive:
- High, generous quota, refreshed every five hours until weekly limit reached
- (Not) Higher weekly rate limit

This is actually in Google’s best interest in a way. Otherwise, they will lose a lot of customers. Google isn’t the only option. There are better ones. I just liked Google and it was easy to continue using it since I was already used to it.
It’s no longer gemini 3 flash. Now its gemini 3.5 flash. Which is WAY MORE EXPENSIVE than gemini 3 flash. They removed Gemini 3 flash and made 3.1 pro and 3.5 flash weekly quotas the same pool. In other words… Google wishes you the best on your journey else where.

maybe I haven’t thought about it enough, but I don’t understand a weekly quota from a retention perspective.
having to wait 4+ hours for refresh every 5 hours is an annoyance and makes you think of whether you can afford to wait, or to take the time/tokens/risk to transfer the project temporarily to another platform.
having to wait a week is enough time to entirely forget you were even using the platform.
Maybe the companies all rely on you coming back when the other one has run out.
I don’t even bother opening Claude anymore.
before the quota consolidation I was at least able to switch to Gemini CLI when running out of Antigravity, which helped, even though it was locked to older models.
hmm yea, last night it shown 2 hours left for the refresh (gemini 3.5 flash medium).
but suddenly this morning shows refresh in 6 days.
Also it is pretty bad that now gemini 3.5 and 3.1 pro shares the same usage limits, different from before that gemini 3.1 pro and gemini 3 flash don’t share the same usage limits

Yeah, cuz gemini 3.5 flash need much more compute than gemini 3 flash. That’s why many people want to bring gemini 3 flash back, with a few want to increase usage/bug or whatever the hell happening here
I’m hesitant to celebrate.. Earlier, my quota said 6 days until it refreshed.. But my quota just refreshed back to full.
Maybe it was a visual bug? Or maybe they refreshed it again? Or fixed whatever was going horribly wrong?
Going to be a bit conservative with my usage, but I’ve just made my first prompt, and the limit’s currently saying it will be refreshed again in ~5 hours..
Hopefully that 6 day limit was just a terrifying bug. 
I’m not holding my breath, but I wanted to post, after complaining earlier.. I’m at least able to code again for the moment. Maybe others will notice their quota has also refreshed? I really hope it continues to refresh every 6 hours, and isn’t actually going to make me wait 6 days after I hit my limit again..
(Edit: After 3 prompts using 3.5 Flash High, I’m at 60% usage (this was another edit, it said 80% remaining immediately after, was a bit slow to refresh), with 4 hours 24 minutes until Refresh .. I’m still not holding my breath, but I’m at least feeling a bit hopeful for the moment, since I was at least able to complete my task from earlier, and can build my project again. If nothing else, I am thankful for that much.

The weekly limit goes down 10% with every prompt. Not sure what good Gemini is anymore. I’m out.
With Gemini flash 3.0 I could do many times more work before consuming the 5hr quota than the work done with the weekly quota of Gemini 3.5.
Now, even the coding of a simple module based in an existing one in the same workspace uses the full weekly quota, and to make things worst, it doesn’t even finish.
