Request for regional access to gemini 3 preview models in vertex AI

Hi team,

Requesting allowlist access for gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview on regional Vertex AI endpoints for our production project. The model works on location="global" for our project today, but we’d like regional access for better latency, data residency (POPIA compliance for South African customer data), and access to adjustable production quotas.

Project details:

  • GCP Project ID: eve-admins

  • Billing: Active paid account, in good standing

  • Vertex AI API: Enabled

Regions requested (in priority order):

  1. europe-west4 — primary target, closest to our South African operations

  2. us-central1 — secondary, for fallback availability

Verification we’ve completed:

  • Labels-based cost attribution is working (verified in Cloud Billing reports).

  • Confirmed gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview works on location="global" for our project — we just need the regional endpoints opened.

  • Probed all 30 Vertex Gemini regions; confirmed every region except global returns 404 NOT_FOUND for our project, and europe-west12 returns 400 FAILED_PRECONDITION (region doesn’t serve this model).
