I am developing a student project using the Gemini API. My project is currently unable to access the Gemini API.
Google AI Studio shows:
- Project quota tier: Unavailable
- API access: Restricted
- Error: “Project quota tier unavailable. Please contact your project administrator for assistance.”
When my application calls the Gemini API, I receive:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED — “Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
I have completed the available account verification steps. I would like to continue using the Gemini API on the eligible Free Tier without enabling billing.
Could you please review my project and let me know why access has been restricted and whether the restriction can be removed?
