Hello Google Gemini API Team,
We are developing MELO AI Öğretmen, an educational mobile application for children, currently in internal testing on Google Play.
MELO provides interactive AI tutoring, educational conversations, homework assistance, image-based problem solving, and voice interaction.
Parents manage registration and consent, while children are the intended users.
We currently use Gemini API only for controlled adult testing. Live AI access for children remains disabled while we clarify Google’s requirements.
We would like to know:
-
Is there an official approval process or contractual exception for using Gemini API in an educational application intended for children under 18?
-
Could Google Cloud or Vertex AI provide an appropriate solution?
-
What child safety, parental consent, privacy, and data retention requirements would apply?
-
Which official Google team can provide written authorization or contractual guidance?
We want to ensure full compliance before enabling AI tutoring for children.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
MELO AI Öğretmen Development Team
