Clarification requested: Gemini API age restrictions for a parent-operated storytelling app

Hello,

We are developing a parent-operated storytelling app for parents to use together with children aged five and under.

Only the parent signs in, gives consent, and operates the phone. Children listen and discuss the story with the parent without operating the screen. Speech-recognition text may include expressions from both the parent and child. Our backend sends this text to the Gemini Developer API to generate a short story response.

We would like clarification on the restriction concerning API clients directed toward or likely to be accessed by individuals under 18:

  1. Is this use case permitted when all device operation is performed by an adult parent?
  2. Does parental consent affect this restriction?
  3. Which official support channel can provide written clarification for this specific use case?

We are not assuming that parental operation or paid API access creates an exception.

Thank you.
