We are developing a public educational encyclopedia website and mobile app with an optional AI assistant powered by the paid Gemini API.
The main application provides educational content accessible to all ages, while the AI assistant would be restricted to adults (18+) through a confirmation enforced by our backend.
Would this arrangement comply with the Gemini API Additional Terms regarding users under 18?
Is an 18+ self-declaration sufficient, or would Google require stronger age verification?
We would appreciate clarification from an official Google representative.
