I would like to request allowlist access for my Vertex AI project to enable Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Preview model.
Model needed:
- gemini-3.1-flash-lite-preview
Project Information:
- Region: asia-northeast3 (or us-central1 if APAC region not available)
Use case:
- Mobile app launching in 4 languages (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English)
- AI companion app with character-driven conversational features
- Real-time chat with personality system, photo analysis, and time-aware responses
- Currently in beta testing phase, planning Google Play launch
Why we need Vertex AI access:
- Currently using AI Studio API key (direct billing)
- Have $1000 GCP credits available (1 year)
- Want to migrate to Vertex AI to use credits properly
- Would prefer to keep using gemini-3.1-flash-lite-preview as our personality system has been extensively tuned for this specific model
Current Status:
- We confirmed Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Preview is listed in Vertex AI Model Garden
- However, attempting to use the model returns access denied / 404 errors
- Need allowlist enrollment to proceed
Production Environment: Required
Expected daily usage: Low to moderate (currently ~$0.30/day in beta)
Expected post-launch usage: Moderate (4-language consumer app)
