Recover my last code version

I am unable to restore my code version to last night. Everything is local on my Mac. It keeps restoring to some outdated versions I had. What is the best way to resolve this please?

I also lost my last night’s chat and it shows this message: The server cleared a prefix of the conversation as it grew too large. So I am unable to pinpoint it to specifically restore to last night’s or t

Antigravity keeps hallucinating and is unable to restore it.

Hi @AB29 ,

Could you please follow theses steps:

  • IDE Timeline (1-Click Restore)

    • Open the modified file in Antigravity.
    • In the left Explorer sidebar, expand the Timeline panel at the bottom.
    • Click on last night’s timestamp > right-click and select “Restore Contents”.
  • Raw Transcripts on Disk

    • All code blocks generated by the agent are permanently saved at: ~/.gemini/antigravity-ide/brain/<session-id>/.system_generated/logs/transcript.jsonl

Let me know is the issue resolves or the issue still persists?

@Ambati_Rajendra Thanks so much for following up and sharing these steps!

Because I had renamed the project directory during the incident, the local IDE Timeline index and session references lost track of the original file state.

Fortunately, I was able to fully restore and recover the working codebase from an offline snapshot backup, so the immediate issue is resolved and our demo state is locked and verified.

That disk path (~/.gemini/antigravity-ide/brain/<session-id>/.system_generated/logs/transcript.jsonl) is super valuable to know for future recovery forensics, though. Really appreciate the pointer!

Are you not using local versioning? In any of my AGENTS.md’s I always add the line Commit working changes to git at stable checkpoints throughout development. Do not wait until the end of a task. Push commits to the configured private remote when available This ensures if something fails out, when I ask the agent to recover the last code version, the question becomes empirical.
