A fix has been rolled out to improve this behavior, which should significantly reduce instances of code returning in chat rather than updating files.

Code returned in chat instead of modifying files

Hi folks! Apologies for the frustration here. A few updates: We rolled out updates last week that improve this behavior and should result in far less frequent occurrences of code returning in chat. We are also working on a larger update to AI Studio Build to better support more complex projects generally which will be rolling out in the new year and will improve related behaviors as well fully eliminate this issue.
