It constantly says what files it will update, and just doesn’t do it. G2.5 says it made the updates when it has not. G3 makes the updates in the chat instead of in the files.
Almost unusable today.. Tried so many different prompts and variations.. I think the endless chat log is making it go crazy?
Choose “Reset the conversion” on the top right of the left panel. It should make it behave again.

Sure, all prompts fail no matter what I do. If I say update the headlines to red color. It will say I made the updates to these files, and then just stop. The chat context has become too long, as far as I can tell and the Models, just stopped doing any edits. My older projects are missing the option to reset the chat or have a temp chat. I just tested new projects. They will make file edits, and do have the reset chat button. I guess I could clone the project, but I had the project deployed..
So it appears, projects before the update are missing the option to reset the chat and ends up breaking.
I moved my project local and used AntiGravity to set up Vite for testing and push that project to Cloud Run from AntiGravity now.

I saw the same issues on AI Studio Code assistant. AI Studio can not make any progress any more for UNKNOWN reason. I guess, AI Studio Code assistant hit some errors; however, it does not tell me the detail errors. It stuck forever. File size too big? Diff size is too big? Project size grow too big? Compile error? Syntax error?
On a success update, I saw the change table at the end of response.
On all failure updates, I did not see the change table like the following. It said, they update XYZ. However, indeed, their updates are not visiable to me and AI Studio preview too. Code assiant are lost some where in the dark.
I gave this prompt, “please review and continue refactor my projects until AI Studio preview is happy. AI Studio preview still cannot see your changes yet. update appication version.”
After 20+ retries, finally I got a success run as the following:
And I had exactly the same problem repeatedly, which is extremely annoying. The only way I found to deal with it was to point out that I didn’t want him to list the code for me, but to modify the files in my application. That usually works. But it’s really very tedious.
