Hello Google Gemini API team,
My Gemini API project appears to be stuck between Google Cloud Billing / Prepay and the AI Studio usage tier.
Current state
Gemini API project: gen-lang-client-06148804..
Cloud Billing account is active
Gemini API billing plan: Prepay
Prepay credits were successfully purchased on September 12, 2026
Current Prepay credit balance: HK$40.00
Google Cloud Billing shows the successful HK$40 transaction and positive Prepay balance
However, Google AI Studio → Projects and API Keys still show:
Free tier · Prepay
It has now been approximately 6 days since the successful credit purchase.
Previously, API requests returned:
429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED / prepayment credits are depleted
I also attempted to create a new API key for the same project as a diagnostic step, but AI Studio rejected it with:
The request is suspicious
No attempts have been made to bypass the restriction, and no additional generation requests have been sent.
Could someone from the Gemini API billing/provisioning team please check whether the Paid Tier provisioning for this project is stuck and perform a manual billing / tier synchronization if necessary?
I can provide the full Billing Account ID and additional screenshots privately if required.
