Persistent days usage limit lockout on all models despite zero activity

I am experiencing a recurring 7-day usage limit across all Gemini models (except Gemini 3 Flash) that appears to trigger automatically even when the models have not been accessed.

Details:

  • Initial Event: One week ago, a 7-day usage limit appeared on all models except for Gemini 3 Flash.

  • Behavior: For the past 8 days, I have exclusively used Gemini 3 Flash or not used it at all. I have not sent a single prompt to any other model due to the existing limits. Today, after waiting out the 8-day period, I tried to use them again, but I am still locked out

  • The Bug: Yesterday, after the full 7-day period ended, the limit immediately renewed itself for another 7 days on all models.

Technical Discrepancy: How can these models reach a usage limit when they have not been used at all for over 8 days? The system seems to be stuck in a “limit loop” or is incorrectly attributing Gemini 3 Flash usage to the quotas of other models.

This situation is incredibly frustrating and feels like a technical dead-end. I have followed all the rules, waited out the full 7-day cooldown without touching the restricted models, yet the system has locked me out again for another week without cause. It feels as though my account is stuck in an infinite penalty loop. This bug makes it impossible to rely on the service, as the ‘reset’ period seems to be completely broken

Hello @Jakub1, welcome to Google AI Forum!

To provide you with greater control and a seamless path to scale, we are evolving our Google AI plans by introducing built-in AI credits that can now be utilized directly within Antigravity.

Under this updated structure, our Google AI Pro tier is tailored for practical builders, offering generous limits for Gemini Flash alongside a baseline quota to experience our most advanced premium models. For developers operating at the highest scale who require consistent, high-volume access to our most complex models, Google AI Ultra serves as the ideal comprehensive solution.
Furthermore, we’ve designed these plans with maximum flexibility in mind; if you are on the Pro plan and require additional capacity or deeper premium access for intensive development sprints, you can seamlessly top up your AI credits to customize your limits and continue shipping your best work without interruption.

How does this solve the issue of the user? We do know that limits are being reduced which is fine, but the clear issue right here is that Google is saying limits will reset when they clearly dont?

Hi @Abhijit_Pramanik

Thank you for your response regarding the new Google AI Pro structure and Antigravity. However, this does not address the technical bug I reported.

My issue is not a misunderstanding of the plan, but a critical malfunction in the quota reset logic. Despite being on a paid annual subscription, I am trapped in a “limit loop” where a 7-day restriction renews itself automatically even with zero prompts sent to the premium models.

Therefore, please take note of the following:

1. Technical Discrepancy: My credits should be untouched as I have not used Gemini Ultra/Pro for over 8 days. The system is incorrectly flagging my account as “over limit” during periods of total inactivity.

2. Service Breach: As I have paid for an annual subscription upfront, the fact that I am locked out of the core “Pro” features due to a system error is a breach of our service agreement.

3. Final Notice: If this technical glitch is not resolved immediately, I will formally demand a full cancellation of my subscription and a pro-rata refund for the remaining months. I cannot continue paying for a service that is technically broken and unusable.
