Manual Sync Request: Google Cloud Billing stuck on "Processing" for AI Studio

Hello,

My Google Cloud billing account is currently stuck in the “Processing” loop and I am unable to link it to Google AI Studio to unlock my rate limits.

  • Error displayed: “Setup Pending”, with “Your Google Cloud billing account is being processed. Processing time varies from a few moments to a few weeks.”

  • How it happened: The billing account is active on the Google Cloud side. When I wanted to link it to AI Studio, it progressed through to my bank authentication, which I backed out of to check pricing. But the system is now out of sync thinking it processed that step somehow, likely remaining in a loop.

Cloud Support advised that the AI Studio provisioning system needs a manual synchronization from the product team. Could someone please force the handshake for my account or reset the linking process so I can restart?

Yes it got resolved, I’d say in about 8-9 hours. Billing is simply set up now without any further action from my end.

I’m experiencing the same issue. When I try to unlock my rate limits, it gets stuck on “Your Google Cloud billing account is being processed…” and has remained that way for several days. My Google Cloud billing account is fully active.
