Judges Promo Code (Enquiry)

My submission app includes a subscription-based system to unlock specific feature which costs around $1.15. I don’t know if the judges would want to use their credit card just to test participants project, So I included a message for the judges on the page assuring them that their fund would be refunded after testing phase concludes.

However, I don’t think that enough to convince them in using their credit card for purchase, so I went ahead to create a promo code that is only meant to be used by the judges which would prevent their card from getting charged enabling them tests the project without hindrance.

I would love to include this within my app, but considering the deadline is over, that wouldn’t be possible and also to prevent general use.

I was wondering if it would be possible to edit my submission or possibly add the promo code in the description for my submission.

Would greatly appreciate your feedback on this. Thank you.

In most big hackathons like this one, judges are not going to test your application, there is simply no time. There is going to be a quick code check to see if there are Gemini implantations and IF you presentation convinced the judges they might take more time to actually try it, in that case you’ll probably get a request for access, altho you should probably included that in the form.

They will most likely test the potential winner apps since there will be only a few.

If the judges are Googlers (I think yes), then Gemini is in-house for them. So if there’s a way to input their API key in any way they’ll be fine. If you use any API besides Gemini, then I guess it’s up to you. I made my submission instructions in a way that they can use my API keys for other services.
