Fully Functional Prototype (Free Users) Submitted BUT Launching Product Soon (Requires Paid Users)

Hey @Lloyd_Hightower, I had a question about my competition submission. I submitted my app as a fully functional prototype (with code, video, and write-up). I also submitted the app’s live URL in the application. Right now, if you try it - it’s free to use.

You mentioned in another post that judges will start judging in early September OR whenever you’ve completed disqualifying submissions (which could be earlier). I was under the assumption the judging will begin now and winners will be selected by early September.

The problem I’m facing is that the live URL I’ve shared will improve in terms of UI + functionality by then. This means that my product will be a SaaS product by the time it launches (which may be before judges start judging - I can’t tell). We don’t expect the expert panel to pay for it of course but we would love for them to try or test it if needed with a free account.

In my app, I used Firebase Auth’s Email Link (Passwordless Sign-in) which doesn’t allow test users. If I make my app a paid app before judging starts, I could add an additional Auth way (such as Email/Password) and shoot you an email at lloydhightower+geminiapi@google.com with an Email/Password account that has free access. Does this work?

Lets revisit this when we are closer to judging to get it all figured out.
