Inquiry Regarding Public Use of Gemini API-Based Chatbot

I am developing a chatbot for a public state organization in Azerbaijan using the Gemini API (free tier). The chatbot is designed to provide responses based on documents and prompts that we have supplied.

Additionally, if a user’s question is related to the organization or its activities, but the answer is not directly available in the provided documents or prompts, the chatbot is capable of performing its own research to generate a response. However, it does not respond to any questions that are unrelated to the organization or its activities.

The chatbot is also configured to:

  • Provide disclaimers for legal-related questions, clearly stating that the responses are advisory in nature,

  • Encourage users to contact the organization directly for official and definitive information.

We would like to inquire about the following:

  1. Are we permitted to publicly release this chatbot as part of our product or service using the Gemini API (free tier)?

  2. Are there any restrictions, limitations, or compliance requirements we should be aware of before making it publicly accessible?

  3. Would it be sufficient to disclose that the chatbot is powered by Gemini (e.g., “Powered by Gemini”)?

  4. Are there any specific branding or attribution guidelines we must follow?

Thank you in advance for your support.
