Is it allowed to use Gemini API for a public chatbot based on a company's internal knowledge base?

Hello,

We are developing a chatbot using the Gemini API. The chatbot is designed to answer user questions based on a structured knowledge base created and maintained by our company.

The system retrieves information from our internal database and uses Gemini to generate responses for users. We are planning to integrate this chatbot into a public website so that visitors can ask questions and receive automated answers.

Before deploying it publicly, we would like to clarify whether this type of implementation is compliant with Gemini API policies and terms of service.

Specifically, we would like to know:

  • Is it allowed to use Gemini API to power a publicly accessible chatbot on a company website?

  • Are there any intellectual property or licensing considerations when the responses are generated using a company’s own internal knowledge base?

  • Are there any policy requirements or restrictions we should be aware of before deploying such a system?

Thank you for your guidance.

Same issue for me. I would like to know about policies very well.
