There is currently an option to “Tune a model” in the Google AI Studio. With people being able to purchase a pay-as-you-go subscription on May 2 will fine-tuning a model remain free, or will it switched to the paid plan only?

Okay quick follow up, we do not charge to tune a model (this will stay the same after billing launches on May 2nd) and the token pricing is the same as the standard token pricing mentioned here: Gemini API Pricing | Google for Developers for tuned models. I will make sure this is clear in the pricing page and the docs!

Can I fine-tune a model in the UK for free? I want to fine tune on around 800 rows of data for a summarisation task, but I’m worried about the costs and I’m finding it hard to determine them. It cost me around $2 to use the same amount of data with llama 3 70B on the Fireworks platform - if that’s helpful to know!
If not - could you possibly give me a round about idea how much it will cost?!
