Google AI Studio returns 403 Forbidden for my personal Gmail account

Hello Google AI Developers,

I am unable to access Google AI Studio using my personal Gmail account.

Both https://aistudio.google.com/ and https://aistudio.google.com/apikey return a 403 Forbidden error. The Google Account homepage opens normally.

I have already tried:

  • Opening the direct API key page.

  • Using Chrome Incognito mode.

  • Trying a different internet connection.

  • Checking the age-verification page, which also returns 403 Forbidden.

I would like to access the Gemini API free tier to test the Gemini integration with my Odoo 19 Enterprise installation.

Could you please help me determine why my account is being denied access and how I can resolve this issue?

Please try the below steps:

  • Make sure you’re in one of the supported regions.
  • Turn off any VPN, proxy or iCloud Private Relay, and connect directly.
  • Make sure you’re 18 or older and have verified your age.

If you’re in a supported region and still see this error with no VPN or proxy turned on, please let us know which country you’re connecting from.
