Google AI Studio Build — Original Android app source lost after package migration

Subject: Google AI Studio Build — Original Android app source lost after package migration

I have been building an Android app named Coverly in Google AI Studio Build.

During a package/applicationId migration, the existing feature-rich project appears
to have been replaced/reconstructed. The original source tree is no longer available
in the current workspace.

I checked:

  • AI Studio History — empty
  • Google Drive / Google AI Studio folder
  • local project filesystem
  • Git/history/backups

Google Drive only contains applet_access_history.json.

The remaining metadata contains:

App name: Coverly
Source type: SPANNER
Spanner/Applet ID:
a23bebaf-9513-4530-a9f7-c01e04f585c3

Current package:
com.hexacode.coverly

The original app contained substantially more source code and completed features
before the migration.

Could the Google AI Studio team check whether an earlier snapshot/revision of this
SPANNER-backed applet still exists server-side and can be restored?

Please do not overwrite the current project while investigating.

Hello @hexacode ,
If the app is not yet deleted from AIS, you can try using the versions tab to recover to the last desirable version of the app. If the app was deleted entirely, unfortunately there is no way to recover a deleted app in AI Studio.
